Freshly Plucked Sprouts
This piece really sums up my Covid19 pandemic experience. While the world slows down, gardening season kicks into gear and I have been spending every moment I can in the garden. When my heirloom Blue Beauty tomato seedlings got to be just the right size, I had to thin them out so that the strongest plants could thrive. I didn’t want to waste the plucked sprouts because they were so beautiful and colorful! I decided to arrange them and draw them to capture the moment as a reminder of this unprecedented time in life.
