A few years ago, I had the privilege of creating a set of 3 illustrations, originally painted in watercolor, for the international environmental non-profit, Earthwatch.
Earthwatch connects people with scientists worldwide to conduct environmental research and empowers them with the knowledge they need to conserve the planet.
Designed to capture and illustrate their major locations of conservation efforts, these illustrations highlight the specific species and ecologies that their missions aim to protect: The Savannah, forests, and coral reefs.

featuring lions, rhinos, elephants, giraffes, and gazelle

featuring plants native to the pacific northwest, forest undergrowth, and citizen scientists searching for owls
"Coral Reef"
featuring coral, tropical fish, stingrays, sea turtles, manta rays, and citizen scientist divers
These illustrations were digitized and incorporated into their website in key areas of audience engagement to inspire viewers and encourage them to participate in their scientist/volunteer-paired conservation missions.
