This week, I'm sharing the next timelapse video and archival print from my latest "Homegrown 2021" spring collection of artworks.
This time, the spotlight is on the small, but mighty pink Hellebore flower! Some know it by its more common name, the "Lenten Rose". To me, this flower is the star of spring. For a perennial, it's blooms last for weeks on end. This flower is very special to me because my Granny grew them all around her shady back yard. A few years ago, before she passed away, she let me dig up a big, beautiful plant to transplant in my own garden. It now thrives in my front yard where I can see it everyday and be reminded of her every time I see it.

Hi Courtney, I totally enjoyed watching your video. Beautiful detail with colored pencils!! I am a mixed media artist but haven’t really tried my colored pencils! you make it look easy but I know it is a talent!! I will be buying one of your prints as soon as I get my SS check!!
